WEN Shampoo and Other Hair-Care Questions
What is the best way to find a shampoo that works for you? Ask friends for referrals. If they have used a certain product, which coincides with one that you are searching for, inquire about their experience. The same is true with salons, which are often best recommended by friends and family.
Cathy may not be your friend, but you still may want to read her testimonial. She was asked, Does WEN shampoo work?
“Better than anything in the world,” she said. “Okay, I know you think I’m exaggerating, and I guess I am in that I haven’t tried every shampoo out there, but I’ve tried a ton of them and none worked like the cleansing conditioner. It is fantastic.”
How do you avoid damaging your tresses?
Avoid harsh products, which can dry out or damage it. In some cases, individuals have even experienced hair loss in using certain at-home perm and/or coloring treatment products. If you want to have this type of treatment done, have it done at the salon.
When using styling products, make sure that they do not overheat prior to using them. Extreme heat can and will damage it, not to mention the discomfort of a burn resulting from an overheated styling product.
What else should you consider?
In choosing a salon, make sure that you opt for one that has been in business for awhile and has a clean, professional workspace.
When brushing it, use soft strokes rather than those swiped in a hurry. A part of quality hair care is, just as the name implies, caring for your tresses and beauty.
Answering these questions may be the path that leads you to healthy, beautiful and manageable hair. Hopefully, when someone asks you Does Wen shampoo work, you will be as enthusiastic about the product as Cathy.
I am an African American female and wanted to know if Wen products are effective on black hair. My hair type is coarse and I have to oil my hair daily to prevent breakage.
Hi Felicia,
I have seen people with coarse and thick hair that use this product that work for them. It certainly is worth a try and see if it’s going to work for you as well. For your hair type, the almond cleansing conditioner is the best. Make sure to leave it on your hair for a few more minutes than recommended before rinsing it off. The more it stays on the hair the more it softens the hair. I would then continue to treat the hair with oil or whatever treatment that’s working for you right now.
